2012 Rush Chairmen - Hank Thayer '14 and Alex Fraser '14

The 2012 Rush has begun.  At the recent February luncheon, the co-chairs of Rush - Alex and Hank - introduced themselves and their plans for a successful Rush.   As with the recent past, the goal is 12 signees at the end of the process. 

Currently they have 30 recommendations, and they are seeking more.  In 2011 the rush process had 100+ recommendations, and they successfully signed their targeted class of 30.   Our graduate volunteer serving the vital role of rush adviser is John Bratrud '95.

Rush report for early August

2011 Rush Chairs - Nick Timberlake '13 and Riley Goodman '13 being congratulated by Jerry Keppler '68

The rush chairs turned in a solid report of success for their progress in recruiting the Class of 2015.  In this luncheon report of early August, they reported that they've signed 22 members from 20 different high schools.  They currently have bids extended to four at this time.  The average GPA for the 22 signees is 3.779

The goal for 2011 rush is 30 new members.  As a comparison, this time last year, the signed member count was at 27.  So there is some pressure to close-out the summer with a big push. 

Congrats to the rush co-chairs and all the others who are part of the rush team.  A note that 15 recommendations from graduates have been received in the past month, and the rush chairs will always welcome a few more recs.  Recs can be submitted via the website www.FijiSeattle.com
